Our partner organisation Cambridge Wordfest has recently announced its programme of literary treats for this spring (23-26 April). Authors appearing include Andrew Motion, visiting Cambridge in the last week of his laureateship, and eminent historian David Starkey who’ll be talking about Henry VIII in the 500th anniversary week of the King’s accession to the throne.
The festival is also working in partnership with Newnham College to celebrate its rich literary heritage as part of the University of Cambridge’s 800 year celebrations. For the first time, Wordfest is also introducing a ‘Book of the Festival’ and this year the title goes to The Great Lover, a fictionalised version of the life of Rupert Brooke, by local author Jill Dawson.
For full details, visit the Wordfest website. To request a programme, email your name and address to the Wordfest team, mentioning that you read about the festival on our website.
