This Spring the Cambridge Film Trust is presenting a season that celebrates a rich cinematic tradition of rural films. Screenings will be held at the Arts Picturehouse in Cambridge and run over several weekends from 26 April to the end of May.
From the harsh beauty of natural landscapes to the bonds that bind communities together, the films featured in the season avoid being seduced by urban nostalgia for a ’simple life’ and instead explore the countryside in all its complexity.
