On four Sundays in November and December, we’ll be presenting a short season of classic films by some of the greatest filmmakers living and working in France in the 1960s and ’70s. Look out for the special season ticket which includes entry into all four screenings plus complimentary coffee and croissants in the Arts Picturehouse bar beforehand (£15 Full price, £12 Members/Concessions).

The new dates for this year’s Cambridge African Film Festival have just been announced: it’ll run from 8 to 29 November over four consecutive weekends. Hot on the heels of Cambridge Super 8 2007 comes Cambridge Super 8 2008, a short film festival with a difference. It includes 70 UK premieres and 22 world premieres over only three days in April in the heart of Cambridge.

For one week only, the Cambridge Film Trust will be holding a series of artist film screenings at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge. From classic Keaton to the work of contemporary film artists, we will use screens in public spaces such as reception areas and waiting rooms as well as a newly restored stretch of hospital corridor to provide windows into a new world.
