Cambridge Film Festival
The Cambridge Film Festival is the highlight of the Trust’s year-round programme of activities. It is central to our charitable mandate to foster film culture and film education as it provides us with an ideal opportunity to reach the widest possible audience.
In 2009, we had over 14,000 admissions and presented more than 200 screenings and special events in no less than 8 venues in and around Cambridge. We played host to 127 guests from the international film and media industries, from household names such as Michael Palin and Mark Kermode to first-time directors and producers. We also conducted online Q&As with filmmakers from as far afield as New Zealand and Chile.
Undoubtedly the most innovative in the country, the Festival has established its reputation alongside London and Edinburgh as a key event in the UK film calendar. It takes places each year in September so look out for the 30th anniversary in 2010!
